A quick way to picture 10/20 is to imagine a pizza cut into 20 equal slices, with 10 of them shaded or eaten. Since that’s half the pizza, you can estimate it as an even split.
One common point of confusion is forgetting that 50% depends on the whole amount being considered. Half of 20 questions is 10, but half of 30 questions is 15.
