1140/1200 = 95%
A value like 1140/1200, or 95%, can show up in everyday life when almost all of something is complete. For example, a student might finish 95% of an assignment, a phone battery might be at 95%, or a store might sell 95% of its available tickets.
You can picture 95% as almost the whole amount, with only a small 5% section missing. If a group had 100 items, you would imagine 95 filled in and just 5 left out.
A common mistake is treating 95% as exactly the same as 100%. It is very close to the whole, but the missing 5% can still matter, especially when the total amount is large.
