To picture it quickly, imagine a bar split into four equal parts: 75% fills three of them. It’s also close to three-quarters, which is often an easy way to estimate it.
One common mix-up is thinking 75% off means you pay 75% of the original price. It actually means that 75% is taken off, so you pay the remaining 25%.
