A value like 48/64, or 75%, shows up in everyday life when three out of four parts are complete. For example, you might finish 75% of a homework assignment, attend 75% of your classes, or see that a store has sold 75% of its concert tickets.
You can picture it as a whole divided into four equal sections, with three sections shaded or filled in. It is also easy to estimate as “about three-quarters,” which is more than half but not quite the entire amount.
